Greek Thyme Honey HELMOS is produced by the Souka Estate in Lefkada island. It is considered a top quality honey.

It is considered to be of excellent quality honey. Its appearance is particularly attractive, so consumers are usually the one who is most likely to like it.

But its great demand is also due to the fact that, if mixed with other types of honey (even in small quantities), it definitely affects their aroma.

Its production is about 10% of the total honey production in Greece.

The best areas for the production of thyme honey are the Greek islands, especially Crete and Kythera.

Flavor: Thyme honey has a pleasant taste, but sometimes, due to its high concentration of fructose, it leaves a burning sensation in the mouth.
Perfume: Strong aromatic honey.
Color: Usually light amber. (Thyme honey from Attica and Cyclades is more open than the dark honey of Crete, which is dark orange.)
Crystallization: This type of honey is sacrificed within 6-18 months.
Nutritional value: Thyme honey is considered to have tonic and antiseptic properties
