Greek Organic Fir Vanilla Honey HELMOS is a unique product and one of the rarest honeys in the world, derived from resin produced by black spurce barks found in the high peaks of the Helmos mountain in Kalavrita (Western Greece). It is the only product labeled with Protected Designation of Origin in Greece thanks to its distinctive features.

Taste: This particular type of honey is distinguished by its very good taste.
Perfume: It does not have a strong aroma.
Color: It varies depending on its region of origin. Thus, fir honey from Menales, Parnonas and Helmos stands out because of the creamy shades created inside it and is called “Spruce Baniels”. Generally, fir honey has a strong honey color, in other areas darker and more lighter.
Crystallization: Due to low glucose, it does not crystallize.
Nutritional value: It is rich in trace elements (potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, etc.).It contains vitamins in very small amounts, but even this small amount helps in the better assimilation of sugars by the human body.

It has been certified by the Controlling and Certification Organization of Organic Agricultural Products, “DIO” and according to the standard ISO 22000:2005 (HACCP).
